Match the tracks, expose your team members, and bluff your way to victory in a music guessing game!
Preparation A Submissions
Each team member picks at least one song, or more if time permits, and sends its YouTube or Vimeo link to the MODERATOR.
Participants also write hints for their songs. Those hints appear on screen while each song plays during the session.
The MODERATOR compiles every track and hint, then adds secret songs and hints of their own to confuse the players.
During the session, the MODERATOR plays the compiled tracks one by one.
Gameplay A Guessing
While a song is playing, every team member writes down a guess that matches the track to the person they believe submitted it.
Participants openly discuss why they paired a particular teammate with that song.
When your own song is playing, you are allowed and encouraged to misdirect the others. Cheating and bluffing are fully permitted!
Because this is an in-person session, anyone whose identity is uncovered must perform a fun forfeit on the spot, such as dancing to the track or singing it as karaoke.
Scoring
Points are awarded according to the speed of each correct guess.
- First correct guess: 3 points
- Second correct guess: 2 points
- All remaining correct guesses: 1 point
Because the MODERATOR knows everyone's secrets, correctly identifying a MODERATOR song earns a 5-point bonus.
Winning A the Post-Game Reveal
The team member with the most points at the end of the game wins.
The Team Manager must pay the winner one million dollars, although enthusiastic applause and celebration are acceptable substitutes if that feels excessive.
At the end, every participant reveals their songs and explains why they chose them.
